Be Kind to Yourself

Of all the practices, this one is the simplest, but that does not make it easy. It is also the most important, because everything comes from this practice. Most of us sabotage ourselves. We put ourselves down and we are really hard on ourselves.

We beat ourselves up. so to protect ourselves, from ourselves we build walls. And because we don’t know when or where we will hit ourselves, these walls go from the top of our head to the bottom of our feet and are up 24/7 to protect us from our own attack.

That limits the world we live in to a very small area. We let nothing in and give nothing out. When we are kind to ourselves, the walls that protected us from our own attacks can come down. We experience far more of the world and the space we live in grows exponentially.
