50 More Conversations with 50 More Strangers with Madhur Shalini
from the moment Madhur came into the zoom room, i had this fatherly or grandfatherly desire to just protect her. it wasn’t that she was fragile, but rather that she was nervous. and why would she not be. she is in Mumbai and i am in California; she is a young lady having just graduated university and i am a older man with a long white beard, a cross between santa class, a homeless man and a wide man; she is innocent and i am too
but as we spoke, i could feel her nervousness dissolve and the innocence of her sweetness take center stage. it was true beautiful to watch and you can almost see the changes happen as they are happening in real time.
when people feel loved and accepted, listened to and heard, acknowledged and validated, who they are not falls away and who they are is all that remains. i see it happens time and time again in this magic zoom room, but don’t take my word for it, listen in and see what you see for yourself.
